Hypertufa--Gotta Love it!

Be Careful! Creating hypertufa containers is very addicting! I started out with a couple of small easy ones and found my first 'forms' at the dollar store. Pretty soon I was looking at every box and storage container even salad bowls as possibilities!
Arming myself with a bale of peat moss and bags of portland cement, perlite and vermiculite I started experimenting with creating all sizes and shapes. I have discovered that, while more difficult to make, I prefer the larger containers.
Hypertufa is perfect for succulents or rock garden plants that are happy in shallow alkaline soil.
Patience is required as you need to wait for the pot to cure a month before planting!
I'll take some photos to share as well as the recipe I use.
